   Some traces of the warmth of summer here in that fruits are brambly with traces of fig and just a little soft on the finish. It's still a great quality Pauillac and one that will deliver this well-loved 2nd wine's signature success, but I'd pick the 2018 or 2016 as more representative of what it can do at its best.    The 2019 Lacoste-Borie is bright, focused and wonderfully vibrant. This nervy, mid-weight Pauillac offers tons of near and medium-term appeal. Crushed flowers, spice and sweet red berry fruit linger.

   The 2019 Lacoste-Borie is a wine of immense charm. Wafting from the glass with aromas of cassis, licorice and sweet spices, loamy soil and cigar wrapper, it’s medium to full-bodied, fleshy and seamless, with ripe tannins, succulent acids and a round, giving profile.
