   Prachtige kleur, klassieke geur, elegant en belegen, bordeaux-achtig met veel fruit, cassis, aardse tonen, licht animale toets, associatie met soja, ronde aanzet met veel fruit en fijne houtinbreng, koffie, mokka, aangenaam pepertje, ronde tannine met veel frisheid, lichte mineraliteit, mooi ontwikkeld, enorm veel lengte.

   The 2009 Triangle is a field blend from old, ungrafted and dry-farmed vines on a slope in Cauquenes in the Maule, and is pure Cabernet Sauvignon from a plot around 30-years-old. 2009 was a very warm year and the ripe grapes fermented with indigenous yeasts after a long cold soak. The wine matured in oak barrels, 30% of which were new, for two years before bottling. The wine does not transmit any heat at all; on the contrary, it feels quite fresh, fleshy and meaty, with some wild and balsamic aromas. Yes, the fruit is ripe, but the old vines manage to balance the juice and cushion the effect of the vintages. The palate feels very polished and the tannins are fine; the wine matured in barrique for two years and it doesn't feel like it, possibly because of the natural concentration of the wine. With time there is a nice note of chocolate-covered cherries that makes it very moreish.
