   Mineral and finely spiced on the nose. Light and red fruits, flowering meadow scents, herbs, stone dust and juice. Integrated, firm and flowing on the palate. Very balanced, finely fruity, with immanent acidity, freshness and delicate saltiness on the finish.

   The 2019 Burg Layen Riesling is pure yet intensely aromatic on the coolish, precise, flinty and slate-driven nose. Juicy yet also pure and piquant, with a light-footed character, this salty and lemon-fresh Riesling is precisely articulated and has great finesse and elegance. Highly stimulating in its lightness and lemony piquancy. Tasted as a still-cloudy sample in May 2020.
