UNIQUE WINES. UNIQUE NAMES. EL JEFE | A Spanish name for a Spanish wine. When Charles began making wine from Stoneridge Vineyard, he only used smaller sections of the vineyard. Years later, when Charles realized there was a large unused corner of Stoneridge Vineyard he took the opportunity to grow Tempranillo grapes. This move ultimately made him “El Jefe” (‘The Boss’) of Stoneridge Vineyard. Since this wine is named after Charles, it is a ‘trilogy’ with Ovide and Roma - two wines named after Charles’ parents.Leather, suede, salted meat, savory roasted tomatoes, sweat and bull’s blood. It picks up with blueberries, marinated fruit and slate rich soil.
