Helder, lichtgeel met gouden schittering. Briljante, stijlvolle, complexe neus met rijp wit steenfruit, biscuit amandel en mineralen. Romige textuur met perfecte balans tussen concentratie en finesse, de fijnste Franse eik perfect geïntegreerd. Het charmante koppel Tim en Judy Finn is in Nieuw-Zeeland erg geliefd. Beide kunnen beschouwd worden als topchefs maar dan wel op het gebied van wijn. Een grote harem beschermelingen die hun leerschool doorliepen op Neudorf werkt nu voor eigen rekening. Ze spreken nog steeds met extreem veel respect over Tim en Judy. Wanneer je het domeintje binnenrijdt, krijg je dadelijk het goede gevoel van huiselijkheid en gezelligheid. Dit piepklein domein met een schat aan kostbare wijngaarden brengt reeds meer dan 20 jaar wijnen van zeer hoog niveau en wordt terecht beschouwd als een ‘New Zealand-classic’. Wijnen met een hoog charismagehalte! “Neudorf is a superlative winery producing truly unique and complex wines” Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate “The first wine I have ever scored 100 points is Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay 2014. ‘Bob Campbell MW Bob Campbell: ‘Every wine region needs a hero and Neudorf is certainly Nelson’s.’

    Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay 2018 - "Sold out at the winery already, such is the demand for this wine, though I�m sure you may be able to find some floating around retail and wine lists. Savoury and nutty, croissants, nectarine and spiced apple. It�s glossy and fluid, pie apple and spiced crust, a sizzle of butter, but set to a juiciness of crunchy apple acidity, some flint, and a lemon zest and nutty finish of fine length. Smoother and weightier than some vintages, but still beautifully balanced and so pleasing to drink.

    Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay 2018 - "Fragrant and enticing bouquet of Chardonnay with aromas of ripe stone fruits, apple and sweet grapefruit. Some spices of French oak and a light floral layer helps a mineral earthy quality get louder. On the palate - dry, weighty and complex. Flavours of citrus and tree fruit then white fleshed stone fruits begin to emerge. Layers of wood spice and French oak also return. Silky texture, pure fruit core, a lovely example of fine wine.

    Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay 2018 - "Rich, concentrated, mouth filling chardonnay with a medley of fruit (stewed apple and peach) together with a collection of slightly more savoury flavours including roasted nut, hazelnut, brioche, sizzled butter and struck flint, mineral characters. I find the wine slightly broader and perhaps weightier than usual, although it retains vineyard identity and power. Five Stars.
